Mobility Exercises to Treat Reflexology
You have to keep your finger nails well trimmed with a nail cutter and smoothened with a file. Doing this will avoid injury to the skin of the person you are treating. Sometimes the pain produced by a sharp nail may be mistaken for real tenderness of a spot on the sole/palm.
Reflex Zone Therapy is given with the thumb or fingers as a part of the treatment., where we apply a lot of pressure to the key points of the sole. And since we do this with our thumb (or finger), it gets tired very soon, and might lead to a joint ache. This can, however, be avoided by performing some simple exercises to strengthen the hands.
Reflexology Exercises to Strengthen the Thumbs and Fingers:
- Exercise 1: Stand in Namaskara pose. Firmly press the palms against each other for 10 counts. Repeat ten times.
- Exercise 2:Keep the finger tips and thumb tips of the two hands in contact. Exert pressure on the fingers and the thumb of one hand with those of the other for 10 counts. Repeat ten times.
- Exercise 3: Forcefully bend the fingers of a hand backwards for a few seconds. Repeat ten times. Repeat this for the other hand.
Reflexology Exercises to Increase the Mobility of Ankles:
Just like your thumb, even your ankles need to be in perfect shape and fitness. If you are willing to treat reflexology yourself, then make sure to increase the mobility of your ankle joint by performing these below two exercises.
Exercise 1: Move your feet up and down
Exercise 2: Move your feet inward and outward.
Note: Repeat these exercises 1, and 2 ten times each.
You have to continue doing these exercises, as long as you are willing to treat reflexology to others and yourself. Practicing these exercises daily will increase the mobility of your ankle joints in long run. This way you are ready to treat reflexology to others and yourself more precisely.
